The firm’s principals have extensive experience in multifamily investments and property management including acquisitions/dispositions, developments, lease-ups, stabilized and value-add assets.
MCSS is a joint venture between Rivergate Companies and SJM Partners which was formed by
industry veterans Jay Massirman, Steve Garchik & Steve McBride, to develop and acquire urban infill self-storage facilities in high value locations nationwide. MCSS currently has 2 million square feet self-storage facilities in various stages of development and lease up. Previously SJM developed 4 million square feet self-storage in New York and Washington D.C. Active markets
for MCSS include South Florida, DC, NY, Boston, LA and Northern California. In total the
partners have developed over 60 storage facilities over the last 25 years making our team one
